Thanks guys. In looking into the management agents, we saw some stuff about old snapshots causing issues. We don't normally use snapshots in our office but when we checked, about a third of the VMs had 'old' snapshots from Veeam runs. It took the rest of yesterday to get those cleaned out. This morning, vCenter was back to normal again. We did a database clean up on the vCenter machine as well as we were getting a database error when trying to reconnect with the host that was disconnected yesterday in attempt to solve the issue and that fixed it right up.
Yes, there are plans in works to upgrade the system to the latest and greatest. Trust me, it can't come fast enough for me.

I connected via SSH using Putty.
List Data Store Info on ESX Server via command: esxcli storage filesystem list
Saw the wrong size.
Rescan Data Stores via command: vmkfstools -V
(Case sensitive)
List Data Store Info on ESX Server via command: esxcli storage filesystem list
Saw the size change.
After a few hours the size is still showing the correct amount now.

Server out of service and without access to my vmware esxi 6.5 or my virtual servers installed there
Good morning with all the members of the forum.
I need your urgent help, my situation is as follows:
I have installed a vmware esxi 6.5 on a lenovo system x 3550 m5 8860 server, in which I have two virtual servers created in ubuntu, one as a domain controller and the other as a file server where all the users of my workplace keep information of utmost importance to the company.
What occurred to me is to change the hard disk of the fallen server to another hp server that obviously does not have the same characteristics or peripherals of the first server, the operating system starts and I can see the two virtual machines but it does not allow me to turn them on and it has a not accessible message, which I understand is that the resources and peripherals of this new server are not at all the same as those of the server that I have out of service.
Is there a way to get these virtual servers up on my new server ..? and if not possible, can I retrieve the information stored in the file server ... ??

Glad it worked as a temporary workaround, however you should still troubleshoot the problem - losing 3D performance in a guest is not nice. Hopefully the new 20H2 version will fix this problem.

Yes, will raise with GSS for further analyses but looks like I will need to storage migrate off those VMs which are running on the affected datastore.
"The events indicate that the reported VMFS volume is corrupt. The scope and the cause of the corruption may vary. The corruption may affect just one file or the entire volume."

Similar problems reported lately in other threads, e.g. VMWare Workstation Player installation failure in Ubuntu 18.04.4 host (still not answered).
It seems to be a transition from Python 2 to Python 3 problem (see for example https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43964166/imp-module-is-deprecated-in-favour-of-importlib )

View 7.12 + RDS + Adobe Reader = problem cursor
Hello colleagues.
We use Vmware View 7.12 on the RDS host.
Problem: when using the PCOIP or Blast protocol on a remote desktop in Adobe Reader DC, the mouse cursor changes its appearance and its movements become inhibited, as if reacting with a delay. This problem is only inside the Adobe Reader window.
If we select RDP as the connection protocol, then this problem is not observed.
We tried to install Vmware agent with the 3D RDSH option and without it - it does not help.
What could be the reason, how to fix the problem in PCOIP?

Re: vSphere KMS server for encryption, any free ones?
Sorry for the delay. I think I found something that keeps keys in a simple database. Nothing secure, but works for labs and the keys shouldn't be lost on reboot. Going to test that now, if I get it to work, I'll make a blog post about it and link it here, thank you for the guidance daphnissov!

Thats the early plan, unfortunately our client would like to disable on OS level only as per their policies, tomorrow i try confirm with them to disable at VM level (Remove USB from VM) or OS Level (Turn off usbarbitration)

This is a know issue and at the moment there is no work around.
You need to use offline bundle and upgrade the ESXi using CLI.

Workspace ONE -enrollment devices
Hello everyone,
I started with the installations of workspace one environment in the cloud (SaaS). We got a tenant for Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Accessin cloud. We did the integration of UEM and Access with our AD. The plan is to integrate corporate and user devices into the UEM and to use a container for corporate devices through which applications will be delivered. Also, in order for users to be able to access certain files within the company through their devices, the plan is to introduce a UAG (unified access gateway) in the environment.
I encountered several problems:
1. We wanted to do autodiscovery functionality, ie to enable users to do enrollment through their devices, through the intelligent hub using their corporate email (on workspace one uem we entered email domain and confirmation email but the confirmation email is in pending status (not in complite). Does anyone know what the problem might be? Synchronization between UEM and AD as well as between UEM and Workspace ON access.
2. Once we have added the email domain it is not functional to add the device to the UEM using domain users. Before that, this worked. Do you know what could be the problem?
3. We deleted a device profile that was linked to one smart group. Now we can't delete that smart group because it is tied to the device profile that was actually deleted. Do you know how this smart group can be deleted?
4. Is it necessary to have installed in the on-premise environment workspace one connector or is it enough to enable the option from the UEM console to do the UEM synchronization with Workspace ONe Access?
5. Is there a possibility to restore Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access to factory settings and how is it possible to possibly start from the beginning to configure the environment?
6. Do you have any useful link / material to most easily configure our Workspace ONE environment?

Please login to the collector UI (https://collector_ip), go to configuration tab and remove the endpoint for which you initiated log transfer. Once done, Ideally log request should fail and you can reconfigure the endpoint. Also Please share your contact & collector details using the link below for further assistance, if required.
