i have strange issue with Horizon 7.10 , where i can connect to windows 10 vDesktops from my local Lan , but once i go to same desktop in same pool and try to connect externally from internet , windows console open and then stuck in apply DEM or sometime in Appvolumes applying configuration and windows stuck here
knowing that im using UAG 3.8 with horizon 7.10 and smart policy applied to disable some featuers if client location is extrenal
any idea what could be the issue ?
I have looked at the Windows properties and don't see any version number like 1909 etc.
I managed to un-install the vmware tools by copying the file to another Mac and un-installing vmware tools. The updated file now runs on my iMac, but without the vmware tools, I'm unable to access the files on my iMac.
I hope that vmware can come up with a solution soon.

They did leave an older version from Workstation 7 though.
Perhaps you can try that instead?

Parts of this page have been updated for Windows 10 but parts have not been updated.
1. I am a member of the Local Administrators group.
2. No VMware services are listed in the Services snap-in, so there is nothing to stop.
3. None of my network adapters have the VMware Bridge Protocol in their list of protocols.
4. No VMware network adapters are listed in Device Manager. I showed hidden devices, which added the Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter but no VMware adapters.
5. Delete folders...
5.1. Yes I had C:\Program Files(X86)\VMware\VMware Server, the only file in it was vmware-mount.exe, and I deleted the folder.
5.2. The page lists the wrong location for application data folders. I had folder C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Server containing several files and a subfolder, but I deleted the folder. My individual user's application data folders have some VMware files but they are dated 2014 and newer so I think they're for VMware Player not VMware Server and I didn't delete them.
5.3. The page lists the wrong location for Start Menu program groups too. The correct folder is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but mine doesn't have any VMware files or subfolders in it.
6. My desktop doesn't have any VMware shortcut icons.
7. I hesitate to delete those files because they might be used by VMware Player.
8. I guess these deletions are to be made in Computer Management, Local Users and Groups, but my lists of users and groups do not include those VMware names.
9. Registry keys. I agree, this is where I need to delete something so that Windows will stop thinking that VMware server is installed. But the page doesn't have a section for VMware Server.
Control Panel - All Control Panel Items[*] - Programs and Features still lists VMware Server, installed in 2013, 195 megabytes.

Did you verify right iso was mount, location of iso as 8% mainly that RPM is not able to find. Download the ISO locally and mount it " mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom"
In regedit, I found two scripting engines for VMware products, and they had VMware Server as their client. I copied the strings for their uninstall commands and they worked. But despite successful uninstallation, the keys remained in the registry, so I deleted the keys.
I found the key for VMware Server itself. I copied the string for its uninstall command but it didn't work, giving the same error message as the original normal operation to uninstall. So I just deleted the key.
Programs and Features no longer lists VMware Server because I deleted the registry key. Programs and Features didn't list the scripting engines in the first place, which might be because their DisplayName keys were blank.
The installer/uninstaller for VMware Server seems to depend on a file remaining in the Temp folder forever. If the uninstaller depends on a file, maybe the file should be stored in the application folder instead of the Temp folder.
I don't know if I got everything.

The problem with my query was, there is no direct relationship of VM to the datastore cluster and hence the relationship was not available.
But i was able to achieve the requirement and wrote about that in my blog, hope this will help others as well.

This has been fixed by VMWare and plans to be included in the 5.4 client release in March 2020.
Senior tech's identified that, within the PAC file, the URL for our proxy server was not being interpreted to include https:// in the address string. Although the entry in the PAC used an FQDN. We were provided with a sandbox version of the client, which worked, and are hoping a patch or remedial fix will be provided.

Is there any best practice to avoid such error when exporting/importing a VM which is going to be connecting to a different network?
Seems deleting the vNIC and creating a new one got rid of this error when I power down VM and power back on (As before it wouldn't connect to network upon powering on)
Also should the VM to be setup as template be built ideally on the same type of Host (ESXi 6.7) - rather than an older such as 6.5 to take advantage of latest VM hardware version?
Any other considerations?

Hi, I just installed the Fusion 11.5.1 (with Windows 10) on my MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.3. Everything worked perfect till I tried accessing a SSD Drive using USB-C. It does not recognizes the drive at all.
When I plugin the drive, it asks me if I want to connect to Windows or Mac and I select 'Connect on Windows' but after that it does not shows up in File Explorer, Device Manager or Disk Management at all. I have tried going through all the tips and tricks in various forums but of no use. I am now at the brink of going crazy.

I do not get any alert in my Security & Privacy General section on the Mac to allow anything. I have enabled the VMWare Fusion in the Accessibility section of Privacy tab of the Security & Privacy preferences in the Mac.
Will really appreciate any advice or suggestion.
We are using MaxConnPerIP as default, which is "4". If there are a lot of mounts, let's say 29 mounts, how could these extra mounts be arranged? in this case, how could performance be impacted if we have the value of 4 for MaxConnPerIP?

thank you very much for your support. It´s a pity that getting VMware Tools 9.6.4 is far from easy. I really hope that you can find it. Apart from that I got the file of VMware Tools 8.1.4. After extracting I got the filename "tools-winPre2k-8.1.4.exe".
Would it be installed in the following way?:
- power on the Win 2000 guest
- uninstall VWmare Tools 10.0.12 with ordinary Windows 2000 method
- transfer the file "tools-winPre2k-8.1.4.exe" to the virtual harddisk of Windows 2000 guest
- install VMware Tools 8.1.4 under Windows 2000 guest via double click on the exe-file
I would postpone the installation a little. May be I am lucky and you find the newer 9.6.4 version.
